For Rune Factory 5, I don't know enough to figure out if I will like anyone or find someone I like that I can't marry.

However, I did like Porcoline, and Max in the games they were in, but in Rune Factory 2, I married Max's sister, and in Rune Factory 4 plus Rune Factory 4 Special, I just dated and married Vishnal. So that's mostly the way I can admit that I felt disappointment. I chose Lyla, and I loved her with my character, and I did get to the end, but was still bittersweet about no marriage. Another scenario was when I played Harvest Moon: Save the Homeland, we were only allowed to date and not marry the available bachelorettes. The only time I remember even slightly having something like this happening was back when I played Harvest Moon 3 as a kid and I thought that some villagers would be romanceable, but I think the only person we were allowed to marry was the farmer that was the opposite gender than who you played, so I was disappointed. I don't think I really focused on anyone that wasn't marriageable, even back to Rune Factory 1, so I don't really know how it feels, and same with Harvest Moon/Story of Seasons games. Surprisingly I didn't experience this much with RF1/RFF (though I did like Erik).Ĭan't wait to see how Rune Factory 5 destroys me :) I can already sense the alternative design Dimitri from FE3H lookalike character will be one of my downfalls.Īww sorry about that happening. Technically it does make sense for him to not be an option if you take into account his backstory you only get to see if you play as Lest (he had an elf lover who died of an illness) but it still makes me bummed. I married Arthur (who I genuinely did like) but I was wishing Porco was romanceable the entire time as well. The guy is just so kind and selfless, it's hard *not* to like him. No this isn't a joke, I genuinely love him.
It was also quite funny though because my favourite girl was Evelyn so it was a situation where I was digging both the guy and girl but couldn't marry either, but they could get together instead. I loved his design so much and the fact he was quite playful and would tease the main character often about potentially having romantic feelings for him didn't help in that regard lol. When I first saw his character show up I was already drawn to him. Married his sister though which was awkward looking back on it. It honestly looked like Kyle was having an affair with the amount of times I would dash from my farm to go meet him and shower him with gifts lol.
